Ginger Lemon Rasam

 Ginger Lemon Rasam

Ingredients:

  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Pepper - 1 tea spoon
  • Cumin- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Garlic - 1 pod
  • Ginger- 2" piece
  • Lemon juice - 2 table spoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt as per  your requirement

For tempering:

  •  oil - 1 teaspoon
  •  Mustard seeds- 1 tea spoon
  • Red chilli - 2
  • A pinch of asafoetida 
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves -2 tablepsspoon(for garnish) 


Method:
1.Grind coarsely chilli, pepper, cumin, garlic and ginger.

2.Heat  oil for tempering. Add all other ingredients except coriander leaf and when the mustard seeds start popping add three cups of water .when the water started to boil add the grinded ingredients.


4. Remove from fire and while hot, add the lemon juice and coriander leaves.

5.Serve hot with white rice and pappad.
